Paris CAC 40 index gains 0.60 pct

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.60 percent and closed at 4,764.07 points on Friday.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Friday with 24 of the 40 selected companies experiencing increase.

The top three gainers on Friday were Vivendi, up 6.48 percent, Publicis Groupe, up 4.35 percent, and Essilor Intl., up 3.23 percent.

The three companies of which stock prices dropped most were Arcelormittal, down 5.66 percent, AXA, down 1.72 percent, and Orange, down 1.71 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained by 0.87 percent to close at 4,735.48 points on Thursday, up 40.76 points. Endit
