Macedonia's GDP up by 2.4 pct in Q3

Macedonia's gross domestic product (GDP) saw an increase of 2.4 percent during the third quarter 2016, Macedonia's state statistical office said in a report on Friday.

According to the official statistics, the biggest increase during this quarter was registered in the section of professional, scientific and technical activities, administrative and support service activities by 10.9 percent.

Sections of construction and information and communications also performed well with growth rates of 10.3 percent and 5.6 percent.

In the meantime, the household final consumption registered a growth of 5.3 percent in nominal terms while its share in the GDP structure was 64.1 percent, statistical office said.

Meanwhile, the country's export grew by 13.3 percent in nominal terms, while the import increased by 11.1 percent, statistics showed. Endit
