Spraying operations against a dengue fever outbreak is expected to be launched in the capital Ouagadougou after the epidemic has killed at least 15 people since October this year.

MADRID -- At least four African immigrants have drowned as 38 others were rescued when their dinghy attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea between Morocco and Spain sank Wednesday morning, local police sources have confirmed.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Search and recovery operations have ended in the early morning of Wednesday for victims of the worst fire in Oakland, a city in northern California, on the U.S. west coast.

The death toll stood at 36, unchanged since Sunday, as agents from the U.S. federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were continuing their investigation into the source of the fire on Friday night. (U.S.-Fire)

ISLAMABAD -- Rescue teams have retrieved all 48 bodies from the wreckage of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane, which crashed in the country's north mountainous area on Wednesday, officials said.

GAZA -- Two Hamas movement militants were killed on Wednesday when an underground tunnel collapsed while they were performing a military mission in it in eastern Gaza, the group and medics said.
