Cruzeiro leading race to sign Bolivia striker Moreno

Xinhua, December 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

China-based Bolivia international striker Marcelo Moreno could return to his former club Cruzeiro in January, according to Brazilian media reports.

The 29-year-old is a free agent after ending a two-year deal with China's Changchun Yatai this month.

According to Gazete Esportiva, Cruzeiro have already made an offer to sign the forward, who last week told a Brazilian radio station of his wish to return to his former team.

Corinthians are also said to be chasing the forward.

In October, Moreno said he would be willing to take a pay cut to return to Brazilian football.

Born in Bolivia to a Brazilian father, Moreno has had two separate spells at Cruzeiro: 2007-2008 and 2014-2015. Endit
