Seriban tennis star Novak Djokovic has decided to split with coach Boris Becker, according to a statement posted via Facebook on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old player said the goals they set together had been met and that the decision was mutual.

"I want to thank him for the cooperation, teamwork, dedication and commitment," Djokovic posted.

"My professional plans are now directed primarily to maintain a good level of play, and also to make a good schedule and new goals for next season. I will make future decisions," the Serbian added.

49-year-old Becker, a six-time grand slam champion, started to work with Djokovic in 2013. Djokovic won a half dozen Grand Slam titles during his partnership with the German. Endit
