Belarus fire football team head coach

Xinhua, December 7, 2016 Adjust font size:

Head coach of Belarusian national football team Alexander Hatskevich has left his office, the press service of Belarusian Football Federation said on Tuesday.

Belarusian Football Federation prematurely terminated the contract with Hatskevich. The labor agreement with him was concluded until November 2017.

The Federation said the contract with Hatskevich had been terminated due to unsatisfactory results of the 2018 World Cup qualification.

After a draw with France, Belarus lost to the Netherlands 4-1, drew 1-1 with Luxembourg and lost to Bulgaria 1-0.

Belarus are ranked 5th with two points in Group A. The Federation set the task to take at least the 3rd place in the tournament. Endit
