Xinhua, December 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

All the people on board a helicopter were rescued after it crashed in a lake near capital Tehran on Tuesday, the Support and Renovation Division of Iran's Helicopter Manufacturing Company said in a statement.

The statement denied the earlier reports that two of the people on board were missing. "All the eight people on board the helicopter were rescued and dispatched to the hospital," it said.

At least two people on board were missing, Morteza Salimi, the head of Rescue Organization of Iran's Red Crescent Society, said earlier on the day, according to state IRINN TV.

The helicopter belonged to Iran's Helicopter Manufacturing Company, the statement said, adding that the cause of the incident will be announced later.

It was crashed in the Shohadai-e-Khalij Fars lake in Chitghar district of Tehran at 11:40 a.m. local time (0810 GMT) on Tuesday. Endit
