Spanish stock market rises 0.67 pct, closes at 8,664 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.67 percent on Monday to close at 8,664.70 points, up from the 8,607.10 points of Friday.

On Monday session, ArcelorMittal shares led rises climbing 5.26 percent, followed by Caixabank, Banco Popular, Mapfre, Banco Sabadell and Banco Santander that rose 3.40 percent, 2.56 percent, 2.12 percent, 1.99 percent and 1.40 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Grifols shares led falls losing 2.99 percent, followed by Tecnicas Reunidas, R.E.C., Acciona, Mediaset and Gamesa that lost 1.43 percent, 1.23 percent, 1.18 percent, 1.13 percent and 1.13 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 130 points, 7 points up from the 123 points of Friday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.61 percent, showing no big differences when compared with Friday. Endit
