Sarajevo airport serves record number of passengers

Sarajevo International Airport on Monday welcomed its 800,000th passenger for the year 2016, registering a new record.

Armin Kajmakovic, director of Sarajevo International Airport, said this was an important record for the airport and it was the first time the airport had served 800,000 passengers in a year.

The airport currently hosts 12 airline companies, linking Sarajevo with 13 destinations.

The airport served some 750,000 passengers in the first 10 months of this year, an increase of 8.0 percent year-on-year. Endit
