Albania, Russia ink program for 2017-2019 to boost cultural cooperation

Albania and Russia have signed a protocol program on cultural cooperation for 2017-2019 on the sideline of the V St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, the Albanian ministry of culture said Sunday.

The program of cooperation between the Albanian and Russian ministries of culture for 2017-2019 was signed by Albanian Culture Minister Mirela Kumbaro and her Russian counterpart Vladimir Medinskiy, the Albanian ministry said in a press release.

Kumbaro attended the forum which serves as an international platform for opening dialogues and exchange of opinion between experts in culture and cultural policy.

Kumbaro highlighted the significant role of cultural heritage promotion in fostering cooperation and communication with international partners and especially with Russia in the framework of the bilateral cultural cooperation program.

This program is a document that serves as a legal framework to enhance the cultural ties between the two countries, she noted. Endit
