A lucky person in Lafayette, the U.S. state of Tennessee, has won 420.9 million U.S. dollars in prize money, the Tennessee Lottery said Sunday.

The sum is the second largest overall prize for the Tennessee Lottery, after a 528.8 million dollar prize paid out in January this year, the Lottery said in a statement.

The lucky winner will have 180 days to collect the winning, and the Lottery has advised the person to keep the ticket secured before coming forward.

Local media reported that this is the 12th largest lottery win in U.S. history and the ninth largest Powerball prize.

Powerball is a form of lottery that is played in 44 U.S. states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The largest Powerball prize was a 1.586 billion dollar jackpot produced in January, it was split between three winners, including one in Tennessee. Endit
