3 killed in shipwreck in southern Vietnam

A boat carrying eight Vietnamese capsized in a reservoir in Vietnam's southern Binh Phuoc province, leaving three dead and one missing, provincial authorities said on Sunday.

The boat capsized in the reservoir of Thac Mo hydroelectric plant on Saturday evening. Local rescuers found the bodies of two men and a 7-year-old boy.

As of Sunday noon, rescuers were still looking for the missing person, a 36-year-old woman.

The boat is used to transport the owner's relatives across the reservoir daily. Enditem
