French consumer confidence unchanged in November

French consumer sentiment about the country's economic performance and financial situation in November remained the same as a month earlier, government figures showed on Friday.

The consumer confidence index was unchanged at 98 points for the second consecutive month over the period but stayed below its long-term average of 100, according to figures released by national statistics institute, Insee.

In November, households' sentiment about their future personal financial situation stood at minus 8, one point down from October.

As for the unemployment rate, more people predicted a decrease of joblessness in the future with the index losing 11 points in November from a month earlier. Endit
