Two minor explosions have hit Myanmar' Yangon regional government office Friday evening, local police said.

The explosions took place at around 7 p.m. local time in the office building, which lies in Dagon township, with no casualties have so far been claimed, according to local police.(Myanmar-Explosion)

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian army have captured large swathes of the largest rebel-held district in the northern city of Aleppo over the past 24 hours, a monitor group reported on Friday.

Battles, accompanied by intense shelling, have raged since midnight Thursday between the government forces and an array of rebel groups in Masaken Hanano, the largest rebel-held district in eastern Aleppo, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.(Syria-Army-Aleppo)

TEHRAN -- At least 36 people were killed in a collision between two trains in Iran's northern province of Semnan on Friday, semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Another 98 people were injured, and two wagons were set in fire as the trains collided and most of the injury is due to the burning, head of Emergency Center of Country, Pir Hossein Kolivand, was quoted as saying by Fars.(Iran-Train Collision)

ATHENS -- Two refugees died and another two were seriously injured during a fire which broke out following a gas blast at Moria camp on Lesvos island, Greek police said on Friday.

JALALABALD, Afghanistan -- At least four people including a senior police official were injured in a blast that rocked eastern Jalalabald city on Friday, spokesman for provincial government, Attaullah Khogiani said.
