One terrorist suspect killed in Azerbaijan

Xinhua, November 25, 2016 Adjust font size:

A terrorist suspect was killed by security forces in Azerbaijan, the country's State Security Service said Friday.

The suspect, Ramig Rahimov, opened fire at security forces in the Khachmaz district during an anti-terrorist operation, and was killed in an exchange of fire.

The man was suspected of being involved with a terrorist organization named Jammat. He had been recruiting Azerbaijani civilians living in his neighborhood to participate in armed conflicts abroad, said the State Security Service.

He was also believed to have been planning terrorism-related crimes and kidnapping, it added. Endi
