Iran drops in new FIFA rankings

Xinhua, November 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

Iran's national soccer team dropped three places in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.

Iran is now placed at position of 30 after last week' s goalless draw against Syria in the 2018 World Cup qualifier, local media reported.

Despite the decline, Iran still leads Asian teams, followed by South Korea, Japan and Australia.

According to the FIFA report, Argentina remains top of the FIFA rankings with Brazil replacing reigning world champion Germany in second place. Endit
