Vietnam to build expressway in northern border province

Xinhua, November 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

Vietnam plans to pour nearly 628 million U.S. dollars into building an expressway in Quang Ninh province bordering China, the provincial Transport Department said Wednesday.

The future Van Don-Mong Cai expressway will stretch from Ha Long-Van Don expressway, which is under construction in Ha Long city, home to the world heritage site of Ha Long Bay, and Van Don district, and to Bac Luan 2 bridge in Mong Cai border city.

The future four-lane expressway will allow vehicles to run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

Its construction is scheduled to be complete in three years with a total cost of nearly 14 trillion Vietnamese dong under investment mode of BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer), said the department. Endit
