Xinhua, November 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

"Refugee now but human forever," is the project launched Monday by the UNHCR Skopje Office, local media reported.

The project, funded by the European Union, is aimed at raising public awareness over refugee rights and needs.

UNHCR Skopje representative Mohammad Arif added the goal of the project is to bring refugees closer to the local population.

He said Macedonia has already shown what it means to be humane to people running from war, unconditionally and with an open heart.

Meantime, the UNHCR Skopje Office said that several activities will be held during the week to raise awareness on refugee rights and needs.

The project foresees training for unemployed youth on the issues of human rights, discrimination and refugee rights. Endit
