Joining EU most important foreign policy goal for BiH: PM

Joining the European Union (EU) is the most important foreign policy goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), although the process is full of challenges, BiH Chairman of Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic said here on Monday.

Zvizdic made the comment during a meeting with visiting Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak, who arrived in Sarajevo on Monday for a two-day official visit to BiH.

Zvizdic said that BiH has made visible progress in the implementation of reforms, stressing it is ready to take over the Questionnaire from the European Commission which will be delivered in early December.

Lajcak praised and encouraged the efforts of the Council of Ministers of BiH to continue with the positive processes, expressing satisfaction that the Questionnaire will be handed over during the Presidency of Slovakia of the EU.

According to the Council of Ministers of BiH, the two leaders discussed the current economic and political situation in BiH and stressed that in the coming period it is necessary to improve the process of reconciliation in BiH and strengthen regional cooperation. Endit
