Paris CAC 40 index rises 0.56pct on Monday

The CAC 40 index, French benchmark stock market gauge, rose by 0.56 percent Monday to 4,529.58 points.

On Friday, the market fell 0.52 percent. The recovery in the Paris index was supported by rising oil prices after several positive declarations during the weekend.

Elior Group gained 3.85 percent to 19.55 euros (20.7 U.S. dollars) after the announcement of its entry on the Indian market through two acquisitions in this country. Solvay rose by 1.41 percent to 101.20 euros, SFR Group fell 0.74 percent to 22.78 euros, Vivendi declined 1.09 percent to 18.16 euros. (1 euro = 1.06 U.S. dollars) Endit
