U.S. dollar rallies against other major currencies

The U.S. dollar rose against other major currencies on Thursday after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said the central bank is close to raising interest rates.

In late New York trading, the euro dropped to 1.0629 dollars from 1.0670 dollars, while the dollar bought 109.91 Japanese yen, higher than 109.35 yen in the previous session. Enditem
