British FTSE 100 rises 0.67 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.67 percent, or 44.99 points, to 6,794.71 points.

Share price of Randgold Resources increased by 4.02 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Barratt Developments, Mondi, BT Group and Persimmon increased by 3.51 percent, 3.11 percent, 3.11 percent and 3.10 percent respectively.

Royal Mail led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.00 percent, following by Rolls-Royce Holdings (5.35 percent), Hikma Pharmaceuticals (3.98 percent), Johnson Matthey (3.24 percent) and TUI (2.82 percent). Endit
