Vietnam detects 88,000 piracy, counterfeit cases in 10 months

Vietnam has detected some 88,000 piracy and counterfeit cases in the first 10 months of 2016, said Vietnam's Market Surveillance Agency on Monday.

As many as 145,000 examinations have been carried out and 523 billion Vietnamese dong (23,453 U.S. dollars) in fine has been collected to the state budget in the period, said the agency on its website.

The piracy and counterfeit cases are mainly found in food, fertilizers and plant protection products, smuggled tobacco among others. Endit
