-- State Security Minister David Mahlobo is considering suing Al Jazeera and several publications over reports relating to his alleged link to a rhino poaching syndicate.

"It is extremely reckless and mischievous for an internationally renowned broadcaster like Al Jazeera to be broadcasting such misleading content despite our response," Mahlobo said in a statement.(News24).

-- Former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela has warned her successor not to allow herself to be the president's protector amid revelations that she (Madonsela) is the subject of an investigation by that office.

Madonsela has been accused of unlawfully "leaking" an audio recording of her interview with President Jacob Zuma -- as part of her State of Capture probe -- to television broadcaster eNCA.(City Press).

-- The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) said on Sunday electricity utility Eskom Chief Executive Officer Brian Molefe's resignation will plunge Eskom into a fresh leadership crisis.
