Xinhua, November 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

At least seven Pakistani soldiers were killed by Indian forces in firing in the disputed Kashmir region, said Pakistan's army sources on Monday.

Several Indian soldiers were also killed in retaliatory firing, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a mouthpiece of the Pakistani army, in a short statement.

The incident took place in the Bhimber sector along the Line of Control (LOC) late last night, said the ISPR.

Pakistani forces befittingly responded to the unprovoked firing from the Indian side, it said, adding that Indian posts were effectively targeted in the retaliatory firing, leaving several Indian troops killed. Endit
