Xinhua, November 9, 2016 Adjust font size:

New leadership of the All-China Journalists' Association (ACJA) was elected Wednesday, with former president of the People's Daily Zhang Yannong becoming chairman.

Shao Huaze and Tian Congming were recommended as honorary chairmen of the ACJA, according to a statement publicized after the first meeting of the ninth council of the ACJA.

The new leadership lineup has 12 vice chairmen, it said.

As an organization linking the Party and the government with journalists, Zhang asked the ACJA to unite journalists and make the association their "home."

Zhang said the association will disseminate "positive energy" and contribute to reform and development under the leadership of the Party. Endi
