Two killed in small sport plane crash in Czech Republic

Xinhua, November 9, 2016 Adjust font size:

A small sport plane crashed with two killed near the Lustenice village northeast of Prague, on Tuesday afternoon, said Central Bohemian police spokesman Jakub Vincalek.

The accident occurred near the Homolka hill. The plane's burning debris were found in a forest, a badly accessible area. Firefighters extinguished the fire. Vincalek said the two crew members were found dead on the site.

An ambulance and a rescue helicopter were sent to the site of the accident, but doctors could not help the crew any more, said regional rescue service spokeswoman Petra Effenbergerova.

Investigators from Czech Air Accidents Investigation Institute also arrived the site. The reason of the accident was under investigation. Endit
