Spanish stock market rises 0.2 pct, closes at 8,937 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.2 percent on Tuesday to close at 8,937 points, slightly up from the 8,918.80 points of Monday.

On Tuesday session, BBVA shares led rises climbing 1.56 percent, followed by Bankia, Endesa, Banco Santander, Caixabank and Grifols that rose 1.25 percent, 1.01 percent, 0.91 percent, 0.91 percent and 0.82 percent respectively.

On the other hand, ArcelorMittal shares led falls losing 4.47 percent, followed by Gamesa, Melia Hotels, Banco Popular, Tecnicas Reunidas and Cellnex that lost 3.69 percent, 1.39 percent, 1.29 percent, 1.17 percent and 1.09 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 111 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.27 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Monday closing time. Endit
