1st LD: Nicaragua's President Ortega wins presidential elections: authority

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has won the presidential elections, confirmed the Supreme Electoral Council (CSE) on Monday.

With 99.8 percent of votes counted, Ortega won 72.5 percent of them, according to CSE.

With this winning, Ortega will serve the third consecutive term, and his fourth overall.

First Lady Rosario Murillo, who currently serves as official government spokesperson, won her bid for the vice presidency.

The elections were held on Sunday. Endit
