"Mechanic: Resurrection" continues to lead Chinese box office

Hollywood action film "Mechanic: Resurrection" continued to lead the Chinese box office for the week ending Oct. 30, earning 128 million yuan (18.9 million U.S. dollars) since debuting on Oct. 21, China Film News reported Wednesday.

"Inferno," a Hollywood suspense film featuring Tom Hanks, came in second with 85 million yuan in sales in Chinese theaters in its debut week.

Third place went to domestic action film "Operation Mekong," which grossed more than 61 million yuan last week. It has raked in a total of 1.1 billion yuan since its debut on Oct. 21.

"Mr. Donkey," a domestic comedy, landed in fourth place, ringing up 58 million yuan last week after its release on Oct. 28.

Rounding out the top five was "Trolls," a DreamWorks Animation film, which has made 33 million yuan since Oct. 28. Endi
