Singapore stocks close almost flat

Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.37 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 2,828.94.

A total of 1.33 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 718.1 million Singapore dollars (516 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 207 to 131, while 560 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 25.48 points, or 0.89 percent, to close at 2,828.57 on Wednesday. Enditem
