The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- The donor community has committed 26 million U.S. dollars towards Zambia's public financial management reforms aimed at improving the management of public resources.

Minister of Finance Felix Mutati said the cooperating partners comprising Britain's Department for International Development (DFID), Germany an Finland through the multi-donor trust fund administered by the World Bank committed 17 million dollars on Wednesday and pledged an additional 9 million dollars. -- Zambian fuel transporters have called on authorities to retaliate the measures taken by Tanzanian authorities to charge Zambian transporters 200 U.S. dollars for an entry work permit.

Benson Tembo, the association's general-secretary said the amount charged was too much and that it was affecting their overall income from business. He said it was unfair for Tanzania authorities to charge them when Zambia was not charging Tanzanian transporters. (Times of Zambia) Endit
