British FTSE 100 increases 0.45 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday increased by 0.45 percent, or 31.24 points, to 7,017.64 points.

Share price of Anglo American increased by 4.55 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Rio Tinto, Glencore, Randgold Resources and BHP Billiton increased by 4.50 percent, 3.60 percent, 3.08 percent and 3.02 percent respectively.

Whitbread led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.75 percent, following by Travis Perkins (3.30 percent), GKN (2.88 percent), Pearson (1.97 percent) and Next (1.81 percent). Endit
