One police killed, 10 injured in two blasts in Pakistan

One policeman was killed and 10 others were injured in two separate bomb blasts in different areas of Pakistan on Tuesday, local media and officials said.
According to local reports, the first incident took place when policemen were guarding a polio-eradication team that was vaccinating children in Peshawar, leaving one policeman dead and another injured.
The bomb disposal squad said that around three kilograms of explosives were used in the bomb planted on the roadside and it was detonated with a remote-controlled device.
Police and security personnel immediately rushed to the site and cordoned off the area and arrested two suspects.
In another incident, at least nine people were injured as a passenger vehicle was hit by a roadside remote-controlled blast in the hilly area of Mulla Said Banda in Salarzai region of Bajaur Agency, Pakistan's northwestern tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
Administrator of the area Abdul Amir Khattak said that the injured included five policemen and four civilians, who were traveling in a passenger vehicle from Mulla Said Banda area to Khar region when the bomb went off.
