Assailant in Beijing hotel footage prosecuted

Xinhua, October 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

A man has been prosecuted for facilitating prostitution, after a video appeared online where he appeared to assault and attempt to kidnap a woman from a Beijing hotel, said Chaoyang District People's Court in Beijing on Friday

The man surnamed Li, 25, introduced two prostitutes to two customers in the Yitel hotel in east Beijing's Chaoyang District on March 1 and 9.

In April, footage of him attacking a woman at the hotel began circulating online after it was posted by a Weibo user.

After being arrested in Xuchang City, Henan Province, about 760 km from Beijing, Li confessed that he was handing out cards with prostitute information in the hotel when he saw the woman who he assumed was a competitor. Accordingly, he contacted his gang to have her forcibly removed from the hotel. Endi
