Two wounded in terror attack in south of Turkey

Two people were wounded in the terror attack in the southern Turkish province of Osmaniye on Wednesday, local Dogan News Agency reported.

The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants fired three mortar shells from three different points at two neighborhoods on the foothills of the Amanos Mountains in Osmaniye, Governor Kerem Al said.

Ambulances were sent to the scene and the wounded people, including a woman and her 10-year-old son,were brought to the hospital for treatment.

An operation was launched in order to apprehend the militants involved in the attack in a forested area in Osmaniye.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union and Turkey. Endit
