Vietnam holds int'l workshop on criminal fugitive pursuit

Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security held here Wednesday an international workshop on criminal fugitive pursuit, the first ever of its kind in the country.

The workshop drew participation of representatives from police forces of 18 countries and international organizations including Australia, Britain, Cambodia, Canada, China, Indonesia, Laos, Interpol and Europol.

The workshop aims to boost joint efforts by international community in cooperation of information sharing, coordination in criminal fugitive pursuit among countries and organizations, reported Quan Doi Nhan Dan (People's Army) online newspaper.

Representatives at the workshop shared experiences on supporting countries to improve capacities in criminal fugitive pursuit, and proposed initiatives in information sharing and coordination mechanisms among countries and organizations. Endit
