Cultural Leonesa and Hercules were the two big winners when the draw for the last 32 of the Spanish King's Cup knockout tournament was made on Friday.
The last 32 sees the sides from the Primera Liga finally enter the competition and both Cultural and Hercules (who both play in the Segunda B, which is the third tier of Spanish football) are assured a big payday when they were drawn to face Real Madrid and FC Barcelona respectively.
Segunda B side, Guijuelo were also assured of a big pay out with a tie against Atletico Madrid, while Racing Santander will hope to relive their glory days when they have the chance to renew a local rivalry with Athletic Club Bilbao.
The format of the King's Cup, which sees ties played over two legs with the return leg in the ground of the club from the higher league means there is less than of an upset than if the ties were played in just one game, but a guaranteed home tie and TV money is compensation for the clubs who draw big-name rivals.
Full draw: Toledo-Villarreal, Formentera-Sevilla, Cultural-Real Madrid, Hercules-Barcelona, Guijuelo-Atletico de Madrid, Racing Santander-Athletic Club, UCAM Murcia-Celta, Cordoba-Malaga, Valladolid-Real Sociedad, Huesca-Las Palmas, Gimnastic Taragona-Alaves, Alcorcon-Espanyol, Sporting Gijon-Eibar, Granada-Osasuna, Leganes-Valencia, Betis-Deportivo la Coruna.
