Saudi solider killed in shooting at Saudi-Yemeni border

Saudi Interior Ministry tweeted on Friday the death of a soldier in a shooting between Saudi forces and Houthi militia at Saudi-Yemeni border.

The ministry spokesperson said that a border security center was shot on Thursday evening by Houthis, in which the forces shot back to repel them.

The shooting and missile attacks have increased since an airstrike targeted a funeral reception at a hotel in Yemen's capital Sanaa last week, for which Houthis are blaming Saudi-led coalition and the later denied involvement.

Meanwhile, Al Arabiya local news reported this week that the number of missile attacks reached 36 that targeted eight Saudi cities since the beginning of the war against Houthis in March 2015 in support of Yemeni elected government. Endit
