Unidentified gunmen attack army detachment in Burkina Faso

Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday morning attacked a national army detachment near the border with neighboring Mali, local media reported here in the capital Ouagadougou.

For now, no official assessment has been established for the attack that occurred in the West African country that has been experiencing jihadist menaces over the past few years.

According to the source, the attack was launched against the army in the municipality of Intangom, in the Saharan province of Oudalan close to the border with Mali. Endit
