German police evacuated a school in the state of Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany on Friday, but found no suspect, German media Focus reported.

"A person with a weapon was seen before (the evacuation)," a police spokesperson told the press on Friday.

The police searched the school building after the evacuation, but found no suspect.

All students and teachers from the school in the county of Pinneberg were evacuated and transferred to a vocational training center due to the potential threat. A kindergarten nearby was also influenced and evacuated.

Psychological services for the students have been offered. Endit
