Most Vietnamese firms expect "stable, better" business in Q4

Some 85.6 percent of Vietnamese companies said their business, production situation in the fourth quarter of 2016 will be either stable or better, said a survey by Vietnam's General Statistics Office (GSO) on Monday.
According to the GSO's survey on evaluating business trends and predictions of local firms in Q4, some 48.8 percent of the surveyed companies expected better business trend in.
Other 36.8 percent forecast stable while 14.4 percent said it will be more difficult.
As of production volume, 50.3 percent companies forecast higher production volume compared to the previous quarter while 13.7 percent predicted decrease.
Other 36 percent think their production volume will be stable.
Around 91.3 percent of surveyed companies said they will either maintain or increase the number of labors while 8.7 percent said they will reduce laborers in the final quarter of 2016.
Vietnam's gross domestic product (GDP) is forecast to expand by 5.93 percent year-on-year in the first nine months of 2016, lower than that of 6.53 percent in the same period last year, said GSO earlier.
The country targeted to see GDP growth of 6.7 percent in 2016. Endit
