British FTSE 100 decreases 0.29 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday decreased by 0.29 percent, or 20.09 points, to 6,899.33 points.

Share price of Barratt Developments increased by 4.53 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Persimmon, Marks & Spencer Group, Taylor Wimpey and Burberry Group increased by 4.25 percent, 3.11 percent, 2.73 percent and 1.92 percent respectively.

Capita led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.01 percent, following by Rio Tinto (2.26 percent), Sky (1.81 percent), St James's Place (1.76 percent) and Prudential (1.73 percent). Endit
