The speaker of the Moroccan House of Advisors Hakim Benchamach and President of the German Bundesrat Stanislaw Tillich hailed here Thursday the bilateral cooperation in tackling illegal migration.

The two countries have reached an agreement that Morocco will bring back its illegal migrants deported from Germany.

The deal was agreed on over the phone between Morocco's King Mohammed VI and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday.

Tillich highlighted Germany's interest and sincere esteem for the profound reforms undertaken by Morocco, calling for strengthening bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership.

Benchamach said all the conditions are met to develop further Moroccan-German relations and establish a comprehensive strategic partnership.

He also proposed a Moroccan-German dialogue in the framework of a parliamentary forum. Endit
