Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Tuesday declared rejection of any new negotiation forum outside the country between the government and opposition, Sudan's Ashorooq net reported.
"There will be no dialogue outside the country. Any party that wants dialogue must make it domestic," said al-Bashir when he inspected a number of military units Tuesday.
He reiterated full commitment to recommendations of the national dialogue conference of which the general assembly is slated for next Oct. 10.
Al-Bashir further called the rebel movements to join the peaceful process through dialogue, saying "we want peace which is the best for us and for them (the rebel movements). It is better for them to come peacefully, or else our forces are there."
Earlier, the general secretariat of the Sudanese national dialogue has announced completion of all arrangements for the general assembly as scheduled.
In January of 2014, al-Bashir declared an initiative calling on the opposition parties and the armed groups to join a national dialogue to end the country's crises.
The sessions of the national dialogue conference kicked off in October 2015 with the aim to resolve the country's political and social issues.
However, major political parties and armed movements have refused to participate in the conference, including the Revolutionary Front Alliance, which brings together the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM)/northern sector and the major Darfur armed movements. Endit
