China's leading children's magazines to land in U.S.

Xinhua, September 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's leading magazines for babies and preschoolers will launch their English editions in the United States next year, according to a deal reached on Saturday between their Chinese publisher and U.S. Cricket Media.

Pictorial for Infants and Pictorial for Preschoolers will be translated into English and published monthly by Cricket Media, according to the deal reached at an ongoing trade fair for magazines and other publications in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.

The two magazines, published for children aged 0 to 4 and 3-7 respectively, are read by at least a million Chinese preschoolers and their families every year, according to their publisher, China Children's Press and Publication Group, the country's leading publisher for children's books.

First published in the 1980s, the magazines are famous for their cartoon figures including a good-mannered teddy bear and a clever kangaroo.

In China, the magazines are published every ten days. Endi
