Spanish stock market rises 0.95 pct, closes at 8,715 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.95 percent on Monday to close at 8,715.50 points, up from the 8,633.40 points of Friday.

On Monday's session, ArcelorMittal shares led rises climbing 3.52 percent, followed by DIA, Gamesa, Mediaset, Inditex and Mapfre that rose 3.32 percent, 2.18 percent, 2.04 percent, 2.03 percent and 1.71 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 2.32 percent, followed by Caixabank, Bankia, IAG, Banco Sabadell and Indra A that lost 1.79 percent, 1.10 percent, 0.84 percent, 0.69 percent and 0.29 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 101.80 points, falling from the 108.20 points of Friday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.035 percent, down from the 1.08 percent of Friday. Endit
