A summit of the United Nations on Monday adopted a declaration on refugees and migrants, pledging to build a comprehensive refugee response framework.

The New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants outlines recommendations with regard to reception of refugees and migrants as well as supporting them with ongoing assistance under the proposed response framework and a global compact for safe and regular migration.(UN-Declaration-Refugees)

RIYADH -- The Saudi Interior Ministry announced Monday the country has dismantled three terror cells affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) militant group.

The authorities arrested 16 men and a woman, including 14 Saudis, a Yemeni, an Egyptian and a Palestinian, the ministry said on its Twitter account. (Saudi-IS-Cells)

NEW YORK -- The New York City Police Department released a photograph of Ahmad Khan Rahami, a 28-year-old New Jersey resident, as the suspect in the Manhattan explosion incident.

ABUJA -- Fourteen oil workers who were abducted early this month in Nigeria's oil-rich Rivers State have regained freedom, a police spokesman said on Monday.

The victims were rescued unhurt on Sunday, more than two weeks after they were kidnapped by gunmen on Sept. 2, Nnamdi Omoni, spokesman of the police in Rivers State, told reporters. (Nigeria-Oil Workers)

ISTANBUL -- Turkey has made some U.S. special operations forces leave northern Syria as the rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA) does not want American interference, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday.

"The Free Syrian Army does not want interference from the U.S., because the behavior of U.S. officials heightened the problem to that level," the president told the press in Istanbul prior to his departure for New York for the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
