The New Zealand government has extended a scholarship program aimed at deepening collaboration on food safety with China.

Food Safety Minister Jo Goodhew said Tuesday the program developed by New Zealand's Ministry for Primary Industries and the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) would be extended by two years. (New Zealand-China-Food Safety)

BRUSSELS -- Although thin air forced him to inhale oxygen and made him unable to walk properly for two days, the recent trip to China's southwestern autonomous region of Tibet has left a deep impression on Nirj Deva, a senior member of the European Parliament (EP).

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Commerce Department on Monday announced its preliminary affirmative determination in the antidumping duty investigation against imports of stainless steel sheets and strips from China, signaling that it may pose punitive duties on the products.

The department said that such products from China had been sold in the United States at dumping margins of 63.86 percent and 76.64 percent. (US-China-Steel) Endi
