U.S. dollar falls amid dovish comments on rate hike

The U.S. dollar declined against most other major currencies on Monday as remarks by a key U.S. Federal Reserve official reduced expectations for a September rate hike.

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1238 dollars from 1.1226 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 101.84 Japanese yen, lower than 102.69 yen of the previous session. Enditem
